Please allow us to introduce ourselves. We are the Veterans Association Food Bank. We offer a nurturing and comfortable space for Veterans to come and be amongst their peers, volunteer to fill food hampers, or be recipients of hampers, provide emergency funds, Pet Promise program, complete taxes, assist with wills and estate planning, VAC application support as well as counseling.Our mandate and values address four key issues facing the Veterans Community: hunger, homelessness, isolation, and ultimately Veteran suicide.
Since our opening in 2018, we have assisted over 1000 Veterans and their families, and those numbers continue to increase. We have also held numerous certification classes such as forklift training, First Aid, and many more to help put our Veterans back into the workforce.
